Vegetable oils have many benefits in human life, one of them is as raw material in the manufacture of fatty acids methyl esters (FAME). In this study, transesterification reactions were carried out from various vegetable oil sources such as palm oil, castor oil, coconut oil and olive oil. Based on the results of the study, it was found that palm oil produced the highest percentage of methyl ester yield, which was 96%. This value is higher than castor oil (60%), coconut oil (93%), and olive oil (68%). The results of transesterification of castor oil (0.9802 g/mL) showed the highest density compared to the density of methyl esters from palm oil (0.9239 g/mL), coconut oil (0.9279 g/mL), and olive oil (0 ,8546 g/mL).
