In the rotary lime kiln, there is a regeneration process of lime mud which is a by-product of the recausticizing process. The regeneration process occurs at a temperature of 800-1150oC in the rotary lime kiln. Calcium oxide is used to produce white liquor which is used to cook chips in the digester, by reacting calcium oxide with green liquor in the slaker unit. The feed capacity of the rotary lime kiln at PT Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk is 15,500 Kg / hour. The calculation of the heat balance in this study aims to calculate the heat required and calculate the heat loss during the regeneration process. Based on the results of the calculations that have been carried out, it is obtained on October 27, November 10, and November 17, 2023 the heat required is 2,637,664.1596 kJ, 2,406,529.3947 kJ, 2,979,403.7560 kJ and heat loss of 1,569,158.8721 kJ, 1,712,299.3215 kJ, 1,872,099.4966kJ.
