Abstract

Community service is part of the Tridarma of Higher Education which is aimed at the development and
application of science and technology as well as to improve the quality of life of the community. Community
service with the theme of making liquid organik fertilizer is very useful for people with a farming background
such as the Environment 1 community, Namogajah Village, Medan Tuntungan District. Farming
communities need fertilizer in their agricultural operations, which so far have been done using chemical
fertilizers which are relatively expensive. By using liquid organik fertilizer, the community can produce
their own fertilizer and of course this will reduce the cost of agricultural production, so that the opportunity
to increase the community's economic value becomes a reality. The raw material for making liquid organik
fertilizer is vegetable and fruit waste which tends to be easily obtained from household waste, agricultural
waste and people's market waste. Community service activities include counseling or presentations and
demonstrations of making liquid organik fertilizer which are directly carried out by the community as
training participants. The target of this activity is that the community will build a liquid organik fertilizer
production house either personally or in the form of farmer groups.
